went to see some northern lights on sunday!

Hi y'all! Night before last my family drove out to see an aurora thingy whatever it's called (aurora storm? show? idk haha northern lights) but anyways I got some pretty cool photos that I wanted to share! Obviously they're not Google Images quality but I thought they were still pretty good :D (I took them using Night Sight on my phone lol)

Here's the first photo I took, when we first arrived at our location:

Barely anything is visible yet, but there's a faint purple glow.

In my fourth photo the glow is much stronger and a faint pillar appears on the left side:


Then the other colors started to appear, rich shades of blue and white:


The eighth photo is where the green starts to come out: (this is my favourite photo)


And here's when things started to die down a bit.


That was my last photo, taken at about 0:50. We were an hour away from home so I went to sleep at around 2:00. I got less than five hours of sleep before school haha but it was fine in the end :) This was my first time seeing the northern lights and it was awesome! Also my dad made a sick timelapse so I'll try to upload it here when he's finished editing!
